Weekend in London!

Wow! What a great weekend we just had!

Jamie and I spent the last few days in London with our good friends Trisha, Mirriam, Stephanie and Ben. Our reason for going to London was to see the annual NFL International Game. This year's game was between the Chicago Bears and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The weekend started with a very early train ride that Jamie and I almost missed. To add to our lateness, our Belgium residency cards were expired, which almost meant we would miss the trip all together. Luckily, our security control officer had sympathy and let us on the train. We made it to our seats with about 5 minutes to spare!

As soon as we arrived to London, we met up with our friends for a traditional English Breakfast. I don't really think it was traditional as Jamie got pancakes and I got a breakfast burrito. None the less, it was fantastic food and a great way to start the weekend.

Since Jamie and I have never been to London, we decided to take an "open air" bus tour. We had hoped to catch the fat tire bike tour, but we were knee deep in a breakfast burrito when the tour started. Priorities! Our tour was awesome! We saw everything imaginable in London. Best of all, we purchased a new camera during our trip to the states and were able to capture all the moments.

Saturday night, the crew met up with a friend of Trisha's named David. David is an awesome guy and we can't wait for him to come visit us in Brussels. Based on a recommendation, Stephanie encouraged us to have dinner at a steakhouse called Christopher's. The food at Christopher's was absolutely incredible. Their blackened steak is a "must-have" and simply going to the restaurant is a "must do" for anyone in London. Great choice Stephanie.

Sunday, we pre-gamed with a breakfast and a nap. The nap was courtesy of the eventful after dinner plans that Trisha arranged for us the night before. Yes, I omitted this from the blog post.

The game was a blast, but I will cover this in another post.

Jamie and I would like to thank our friends for an incredible weekend! Even more so, we would like to thank Trisha for an amazing job arranging and organizing the event for everyone. You are awesome!
